About your stay
We’ve put together answers to some of the most common questions to help you quickly find the information you need.

We permit dogs in a select number of our rooms. If you are planning to bring a dog, you must ensure that a Dog-Friendly Room has been booked prior to arrival.
Dog charges are £20 per dog, per stay. This charge is not included in the room rate and will be added as an additional cost on top of the accommodation rate.
Our hotel bedrooms and most public areas are pet friendly. However, as we do accommodate dogs on site, guests with allergies or sensitivities are strongly advised to notify the hotel directly in advance of arrival. While we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, we will always endeavour to meet individual requirements where possible.
Dogs are permitted in most areas of the hotel. Please speak to the team on check-in for full details. We politely request that dogs are kept on leads at all times in public areas and are not left unattended in bedrooms during your stay.
We ask that dogs are not left on their own in the rooms. Your dog is allowed with you in all areas of The Wellington except the main restaurant.
Included in this additional rate you will find our ‘Proper Dog’ hamper complete with tennis ball, Forthglade treats, biodegradable poo-bags, a can of our ‘Proper Dog’ pooch-friendly beer and Proper Job beer for you to take away with you.
The main bar and restaurant offer lunch and dinner. The team will be happy to reserve a table for you, just let them know.
If you have booked through a third-party travel agent please refer to the agent’s specific cancellation terms. We do not pay commission on reservations to third parties without a prior formal agreement.

Although we will try to accommodate special requests, all rooms are subject to availability.
Please note, our rooms are located across several stories – as a Grade II listed building, we are unfortunately limited on improvements including installing a lift. If you would like to book a room please give us a call, we would be happy to advise.
Some of our bedrooms are large enough to accommodate z-beds and cots which you are welcome to hire from us or bring your own. These additional beds are for children only.
Additional occupants aged 3+ years are charged 25% of the double room rate.
Each of our rooms includes all the little extras, such as tea and coffee facilities, to make you feel right at home during your stay with us.
Check-in is from 3pm, please let us know in advance if you’ll be arriving later than 1pm. We ask guests to check out by 11am on the day of departure.
Discount Codes are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw offers at any time.
We have a few parking spaces at the pub, available on a first-come, first-served basis. If those are full, there’s a long-stay car park just a five-minute walk away.
Cobweb Car Park (PL23 0HE) takes payments via the Just Park app or other methods and costs around £7 for 24 hours.
We do not have any EV charge points but you can click the link below to search for nearby charging points.
Bedroom prices are per room, per night. Rates are inclusive of accommodation, breakfast and VAT. Minimum 2-night stay restrictions apply to Friday & Saturday evenings during peak times and also during the Christmas & New Year period.
You will need to provide your credit or debit card details to secure your reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro and Electron to secure a reservation.
Please note that full payment for your reservation will be taken between 48 hours prior to arrival and check-in. This will be debited from the credit/debit card used to secure your initial booking.
We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the property during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.
If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, please contact us to discuss.

Stayed in a turret room on the 15th-18th march, this hotel is simply marvellous! The food is gorgeous! The staff are so kind and helpful, the room we had was beautiful and the fact you can have your dog with you whilst you eat in the restaurant is priceless.
