Boscastle is located in one of the best and most beautiful walking districts in the country. The Wellington is surrounded by National Trust coastline through which the famous Cornish coastal path runs. Walkers, their muddy boots and their dogs are welcome at the Wellington Hotel in Cornwall.
North Cornwall is famous for its links golf as well as its inland courses. Boscastle and The Wellington are ideally located to enjoy a round or two. Within 45 minutes drive are Bude & North Cornwall, Bowood, Roserrow and Perranporth Golf Clubs, all of which can provide an exciting challenge on a windy day. For the more experienced golfer armed with an up to date handicap certificate, St Enodoc and Trevose Golf Clubs are within a short drive.
Beaches & Surfing
Although there is no surfing beach in Boscastle, the North Cornish coast is renowned for its excellent surf conditions and many of North Cornwall’s beautiful beaches are within easy reach. Bude, Trebarwith Strand and Polzeath are three of the better known beaches for excellent surfing with local surf schools and hire available.
For those who are staying for an extended holiday in our Boscastle inn, we would recommend venturing out to try some of the fantastic chefs that Cornwall has to offer.
