18 June 2015 marks the 200th anniversary of the Battle Of Waterloo. Soon after 1815, Boscastle’s hotel was renamed The Wellington Hotel and the imposing turret at the front was built to commemorate the event. 200 years later, we are again marking the event with the opening of our new aparthotel suites here in North Cornwall. On Thursday 18th June, the Mill where they are located will be open for viewing, we will have special “Wellington” food and drink in the Long Bar and Morris Dancers arriving later in the evening.
Continue Reading →Renovation work on The Old Mill is progressing well and the scaffolding is now down. The new roof is finished and work has now moved to the inside. We have uncovered many of the original working parts of the water mill and plan to re-instate as much of this as we can. It’s great to see the old building starting to come back to life!
